BUT in this day and age, a girl can cry rape if she gets in trouble with mommy and daddy and that is all the police need to hear...sad but trueI don't think so... there is a growing number of instances when the authorities and the parents involved are 'wising' up to false claims.

I'm looking forward to trying this out when I get home tonight. I won't pay $15 for the whole kit, but there are a couple of 99-cent packs that I wouldn't mind trying out.
I have fond memories of playing Atari 2600 with my cousins at my grandparents' house when I was little. I was late to the game buying a 2600 of my own (I got mine when NES was all the rage) but I still loved it and was very saddened when I found out my parents had sold my entire Atari kit, including dozens of games, at a garage sale for a measly $5!
I hope they continue to add games. There are a few that I enjoyed that I don't see on the list.

I would like this to work with my iPod Touch 4g.
http://www.ihomeaudio.com/iP11
But all accessories currently say they only work with models before iPhone 4/iPod Touch 4. Does anyone know if these docks work with newer models?

So buy a capacitive stylus already and quit whining about "finger painting".
Stylus-focused tablets failed in no small part because of the easily-lost one-more-thing-to-fiddle-with can't-function-without-it stylus requirement. So, Apple built a tablet that didn't need it. Insofar as a few people do need a stylus for limited applications, third parties make them. Buy one if you need it; nobody is stopping you but you.
Yeah except Photoshop is for people like me so it is relevant. Also work on your anger management classes.

Let me clairfy, I should of realized the Full OF Win would go to extremes. Anything that in public context is not offense or profane, which .Me is does not fall into. You get hung up a too much minor s__t. Fill in the blank.
No, but I think the word 'me' does have negative connotations such as narcissism and self centeredness. That is my beef with it. The last word I want someone to associate with my name is 'me'.

What's up with this pic!.!?!?! Lol
It's strange. His headshot makes him look like an eerie cross between the Terminator and Sylvester McCoy, the demo photo makes him look like a total DILF, and neither resemble his appearance in the more candid photos. It's like online dating.

Is Macworld just a one day event??? or will they be showing more stuff? I was hoping to hear something about the 8 core mac pro.
Macworld lasts just about all week with the expo. It's for 3rd party companies to show off their new products and deals and the like, but Apple won't be announcing anything new unless they decide to be different this year. I'm really disappointed about no 8core Mac Pro yet as well.
I really hated this years keynote.
Correct me if i'm wrong but Jobs said at the start of it that it was going to be all about the mac ? What happened.
I thought the same thing until I watched the streaming keynote video. MacRumors really ruined my day by misquoting Steve. I was super hyped all morning about hearing a lot about the Mac, but Steve actually said (and I'm partially paraphrasing):
"2007 is gonna be a great year for the mac, but that's all we're gonna say about it today. over the next several months we're gonna be rolling out some awesome new stuff for the mac... but for today we're gonna move on"
Had MacRumors taken the time to get that one tiny bit of information right in their live text feed, I wouldn't have been nearly as upset about the whole thing as I was. They built my hopes up very high with that remark and it really ticked me off.

You cannot officially resize the NTFS format, although apparently with the right tools some people have successfully done it. I tried, everything was in tact, but it wouldn't boot.
The best option would be to reinstall. Your license key will still work after the reinstall. (Source (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_install/will-windows-7-key-still-work-after-reinstall/601b112a-24fe-4628-a821-f5ca214c133d))

2.1 is the replacement rate (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Total_fertility_rate#Replacement_rates)
Ponzi schemes FTW. Europe will need 20 million immigrants by 2030 and way more by 2050 in order to maintain their lifestyle, or we could be monsters and kill old people.
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/29/magazine/29Birth-t.html?pagewanted=8
That's not how civilization works. What happens is that a superior country will immigrate people from external inferior lands where necessary. Much, as you can imagine, to take over the "low end" jobs to support the "high end" workers. An early version of this is known as "slavery". Today, we just give immigrants low wages and more "freedom" albeit they still mop the floor so the CEO doesn't slip.
It's also consistent with the idea of importing "strong slaves". Those migrant workers are often the hard workers and upper teir of thier former civilization. Because...those are the ones who make the trip and are productive enough to be allowed to stay without being weeded out.
Later, when these "strong slaves" reproduce, it provides the country with strong genetic stock for future workers, whom some will break away from the lower classes. It doesn't matter if they are not part of the "2.1 whites". As a matter of fact, many 2.1 white rednecks trickle to the lower classes, just as super strong immigrates get to invent some of our greatest weapons.
Furthurmore, as technology advances, "manpower" is compensated by "brainpower". Before the steam engine cycle was invented, it would take like 100 slaves to get the boat of wheat accross the ocean. Now it takes maybe one or a couple of engineers...to play cards...until something breaks.

Occam's Razor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occam%27s_Razor) does dictate that the explanation Apple has offered up is the most likely. Unlike what some other blogs have been claiming (:cough: Gizmodo :cough: ) it's unlikely that Apple meant to leave an unencrypted tracking database available on each phone.
Further, I examined a map of my iPhone's database and there were some unexplained blobs. Unexplained that is until I read Apple's description, and then it all fit. I flew through Atlanta 4 times in the past year, spending a total of a couple of hours there. My mapped blobs on Atlanta were much larger than the entire weeks I spent in Montana and Wyoming. The only way this makes sense is if the data is actually crowdsourced, which is exactly what Apple claims.
So I see little reason to disbelieve today's statements. (Unless you are inclined towards conspiracy theories, which an unfortunately high % of our population seem to be.)

The question asked of heterosexuals =/= asked gay and bisexual men. The risk factor for straight people is risky sex, the risk factor asked for gay men is not risky sex, but sex at all - even once. Its not the same thing. If there was no bigotry behind the question it would be raised this way to all, no matter what orientation "have you had unprotected sex with more than one partner in the last 5 years, if yes have you been tested for HIV?"
This. About ten million times. :apple:

is that for jailbroken phones? I couldn't find it in the appstore(TM)
update: I found it on a site for downloading android apps. Perhaps you have an android phone?
Anyway looking at that site made me realize that I'm glad I don't have to deal with that. The site I found was amateurish looking and made me think it would be risky to use it in terms of potential viruses. The reviews from downloaders also confirmed what i suspected about apps for multiple platforms. There were many comments about the particular app not working on a particular device (ex - a samsung tablet) but working on another. What a headache it must be to keep those apps functioning with new devices from different manufacturers popping up all the time.
My bad. It isn't the coleco version it is simply called LED Football. Pretty much the same thing though.

now lets get ready for the barrage of people saying .mac is a ripoff, etc.
Has anyone had a close look at the main picture on Apple's preview page? The sender of the email in the top pane is 'Katie Lorenzo' but in the preview pane her name is 'Amy Lorenzo'. Also, the delivery time is out by almost an hour.
Comments?
maybe this means merom MBP's tomorrow? ;)

I think that is more proof of the fact that it was never a bug. Apple was doing it that way on purpose and the only reason they are claiming it was a "bug" is because they got caught big time.
The lie is the fact that it is a bug. It was done on propose and right now Apple is just doing CYA.
I'm so glad I don't have the "everyone is lying and is out to get me" thought process.
Not only that but if it only tracked you for a time and then deleted it self automatically then I could see it but my understanding this is not just one day or week so in theory they can track you for a long time.
For those who do not care fine I don't care what they think, this should be something that can be turned off without loosing other functionality.
Its stored until the 2mb cache is filled up. According to the article it takes longer to fill up for most people than Apple anticipated. It all depends how many places you visit. Not to mention this file benefits YOU and never leaves your phone. Do you also delete every email you read after you read it? Or every chat after you are finished talking? I doubt it so why care about info stored in a phone that can be up to 100 MILES from where you are actually located? Thats like me getting mad because a phone knows I have been to either Altoona, Tyrone, State College, or 20 other towns within a 100 mile radius of me. No one else knows, but a file on the phone says so. I'm sorry but anyone who gets angry over that is paranoid and most certainly shouldn't have a phone or a GPS or a camera with Geo-tagging.
We need finer control over location. All we get to decide is yes or no. We should be able to decide what an app is going to do with the info.
Example: I'd like my maps app to use my location ONLY to tell me where i am. NOT share my location. .
Thats impossible to do. The app has to share your location with the server hosting the map. Maps are huge and would eat up all kinds of space on your device if they were stored internally.
